As most of you know, I'm a huge fan of Charles Dickens. Since childhood, I've adored A Christmas Carol even though I didn't actually read the book until I was an adult. This antique copy was given to me years ago by a dear friend, Judy Martin. I was mesmerized from the first page. Its sumptuous prose and captivating storyline made me feel as if I was in London, England during the 19th century. I was officially hooked!

Charles Dickens was born on February 7, 1812. In my opinion, he is the greatest author in history.

Dickens wrote 15 novels in his lifetime along with short stories and A Christmas Carol which is actually a novella. His fifteenth novel, The Mystery of Edwin Drood was unfinished due his death on June 9, 1870.
